Cambodia Gambling Dens

There is an interesting background to the Cambodia casinos that lie just over the border from next door Thailand, where gambling den betting is illegal. Eight casinos are situated in a relatively small space in the metropolis of Poipet in Cambodia. This group of Cambodia gambling dens is in an excellent spot, a three to 4 hour drive from Bangkok and Macao, the two biggest wagering centers in Asia. Cambodia gambling halls do a thriving business with Thai workers and guests from Malaysia, Japan, South Korea, and Singapore, with only very couple of Westerners. The phenomenal income acquired from the gambling halls ranges from $7.5 million to over 12.5 million, and there are a number of controls constraints for gambling hall ownership. Ownership is required to be largely Thai; however, financial sources are vague. The Naga river boat never closes with 42 tables of mini-baccarat, four tables of blackjack, 10 of roulette, 2 of Caribbean Stud Poker, and one each of Pai-Gow and Tai-Sai.
The original gambling hall in Poipet, the Holiday Palace, premiered in 1999 and the Golden Crown soon opened. There are one hundred and fifty slot machine games and five table games at the Golden Crown and one hundred and four slots and sixty eight tables at the Holiday Palace. The newest Holiday Palace Casino and Resort highlights three hundred slots and 70 table games and the Princess Hotel and Casino, also in Poipet, has 166 slot machine games and 96 table games, including eighty seven punto banco (the most beloved game), Fan Tan, and Pai Gow. In addition, there is the Casino Tropicana, with 135 slot machine games and sixty six of the normal gaming tables, as well as one table of Casino Stud Poker. Another one of the eight gambling dens in Poipet, again a part of a hotel, is the Princess Casino with 166 one armed bandits and 97 table games. The Star Vegas Casino is part of an all-around resort and hotel building that contains a number of amenities accompanying the gambling hall, which offers ten thousand sq.ft. of one hundred and thirty slot machines and eighty eight gaming tables.
